Kiev, Ukraine.-The organization ”Stop the blockade against Cuba” has held a rally in front of the U.S. embassy in this capital to demand the end of the blockade against the island, diplomatic sources said today.

The activity was also related to a new anniversary of the mercenary invasion on Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs), in central Cuba, considered the first great defeat of U.S. imperialism in Latin America, when the Anti-Air Defense Day and Revolutionary Air Force is celebrated.

Representatives of the ‘Ukraine-Cuba Friendship Association’, the ‘Association of Cuban residents in Ukraine’, friendly left-wing political forces and Latin American residents, all members of the Ukrainian solidarity movement with Cuba, attended the activity.

A poster reading, ‘Ukraine along with 191 countries of the world demands to stop the blockade against Cuba’ was displayed in the event, and the national anthem was sung in support of the just cause of the people of the island.

The activity is part of the plans of the Ukrainian solidarity movement to celebrate the 17th of each month an action against the blockade, being this the third time this year they hold a rally in front of the U.S embassy.
