HAVANA, Cuba.- Ildefonso Guajardo, Secretary of Economy of Mexico, travelled this Friday to Cuba for a work visit. He is accompanied by a delegation of entrepreneurs interested in the options offered by the island market.

Paulo Carrero, director general of Promexico, government institution promoting Mexican exports, said it is the second visit of a Mexican Secretary of Economy to Cuba.

Guajardo will meet with Ricardo Cabrisas, Minister of the Economy and Planning, and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca.

Carreño said Mexico is interested in the process of updating the Cuban economic model, and an example is the commercial missions that have visited Havana.
