
Lula da Silva´s caravan attacked by unknown people.
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina. – Latin American politicians, writers, academics and social movements expressed, on Wednesday, their solidarity with the former President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, while repudiating the attack perpetrated with firearms against the buses of his caravan.
Journalist and Nobel Peace Prize Adolfo Perez Esquivel said that this onslaught seeks to prevent Lula’s candidacy for the Presidency of Brazil.
On his part, the rector of the University of Workers of Argentina, Nicolas Trotta, sent his solidarity to the leader of the Workers ‘ Party, and also the Movement to the Allende Socialist of Chile rejected the attack against Lula and sent his support to the former president.
Last Tuesday, two buses from Lula´s caravan were attacked with firearms in southern Brazil.
