HAVANA, Cuba. – Cuban orchestra Los Van Van offered a massive concert, which closed the festivities of Lisbon, as reported by representatives of the Cuban Embassy in Portugal.

The musical group shook the audience for two hours of pure Caribbean salsa and flavor, as part of the show Dances with Me Lisbon, where other international musicians also participated.

More than a hundred Cubans gathered to hum and dance emblematic songs of The Van Van. Some of them were as Sandunguera, Llegó Van Van (Van Van Arrived), Aquí el que baila gana (The One Who Dances Wins Here), La cabeza mala (The Bad Head), Qué sorpresa (What a Surprise), Después de todo (After All) and Popurrit de los años setenta (The 70´s Medley).

The performance was coordinated by the Produtores Associados Portuguese artistic agency, the Equipment Management and Cultural Animation Company, and the Chamber of Lisbon.
