Artemisa, Cuba. – From June 2 to 5 Las Terrazas community, in the province of Artemisa, will reanimate with the celebration dedicated to Fernando Borrego, born in those hills and known as Polo Montañez.

Organizers announced the performances of Adalberto Alvarez, Tony Avila, the Polo Montañez group and other musicians such as Alabao, the Morales Brothers, Yawar, Yagruma, Son Artemiseño and Mascaras de Luna (Masks of Moon) children Theater Company.

There will be also a guateque with relevant repentistas, the performance of guitarist Reynier Marino, dance shows and a discussion about the singer who immortalized themes like Un montón de estrellas ( A Lot of Stars) and Guajiro natural (Natural Guajiro).

During the revelry a charcoal furnace will burn as a symbolic tribute to Polo Montañez and elementary school and high school students will celebrate the date of his birthday on June 5 in his house-museum.
