Havana, Cuba.- The young Cuban jazz musician Alberto Lescay is preparing an international tour that will take him to Mexico, Europe and the United States.

Lescay will present its new album Escape, licensed by the label of the Company of Recordings and Musical Editions, winner in the last edition of the Cubadisco award in the category of First Work

In conversation with Prensa Latina, the instrumentalist commented on the recording process of the album in which luxury guests participated, among them, the maestro Cesar Lopez (saxophone), Miguel Nuñez (piano), Sule Guerra (voice) and Cesar Hechavarria known as The Slow (three).

As he explained, the phonogram tries to follow the concepts of afro-new-jazz and tell a story through the relationship between image and sound, a trend he maintains in his artistic creation due to the influence of his father, the renowned artist Alberto Lescay.

According to the musician, the album is an odd experience and a leap to a higher stage in his career that needed a lot of influence, the roots of his land (Santiago de Cuba) and the electrifying experience of the conga.

The Cuban public will be able to enjoy his music during the 36th edition of the International Fair of Havana 2018, in a special presentation scheduled for the 31st at the ExpoCuba fairgrounds.
