Cuba advances in the computerization of its society by implementing a bonus for the electronic purchase of products and services in its retail chain, it was reported here today.
Cuba is working to improve the efficiency of the National Soil Improvement and Conservation Program, which this year includes investments raised to 58.6 million pesos (equal in USD to the official exchange rate), experts of the sector said here today.
With the participation of the President of Latin American Federation of Journalists (FELAP), Juan Carlos Camano, World Press Freedom Day was held in Havana.
“Our country has been an example for the world in its participation in the visual recovery of more than three million people,” Carmen Rosa Martinez, National Director of Medical Care of the Ministry of Public Health, said in the Convention Palace of Havana.
In order to encourage the use of magnetic card as a safe and efficient means of payment, the Cuban banking system implements a bonus to payments made through point-of-sale terminals in stores, for the purchasing its products or services.
“The denunciation of the blockade imposed unilaterally by the United States against Cuba, is currently our main battle,” the Secretary General of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC), Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento ratified.
The second secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, noted the workers” support in Pinar del Rio province for the Revolution, at the end of today”s parade on the International Workers” Day.
