The National Music Publishers Association officially recognized Yoko Ono, John Lennon´s widow, as co-author of the emblematic song Imagine, at its annual meeting in New York.

They also credited the theme as the Song of the Century, and a recording was presented in which the former Beatle explained that his wife deserved credit for her influence and be a source of inspiration.

To make the announcement, David Israelite, executive director of the National Music Publishers Association, commented that before several legal impediments should be overcome, such as those related to copyright.
