COLORADO, USA.- The director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Mike Pompeo accused Russia of complicating life to the United States, and minimized the role of Moscow in the fight against terrorism in Syria.

We live in a world where the Russians have a massive nuclear arsenal and they are firmly rooted in Syria, Pompeo said during a security forum held this Thursday in the city of Aspen, Colorado.

On the other hand, from Russia Senator Konstantin Kosachev described the statements of the head of the CIA as lies and incompetent.

Pompeo’s statements also contradict the words of Iraqi Vice-President Nouri al-Maliki, who said that without Russia, the Middle East would have been utterly destroyed and the regime would have fallen.
