5 May, 2020 Adjusting to Reality and Imposing on It with Work

In order to provide an organized response, without improvisation, to the effects the pandemic generated by COVID-19 will have on Cuba’s immediate development, the Council of Ministers approved adjusting this year’s Economy Plan, which will allow to conduct the country more objectively and create the conditions for its recovery.

27 August, 2018 Argentinean professors and teachers protest against budget cuts

Argentina’s university professors ended the third week of protests with 70 symbolic lectures in the Plaza de Mayo on Friday, outside the presidential palace. They are protesting austerity and cutbacks that affect public higher education budgets and a proposed wage increase of 15 percent.

9 July, 2018 Cuban President and Vice-President Exchange with Heads of Provincial Governments

The meeting with Presidents of the Assemblies of People´s Power in the provinces and the Isle of Youth Special Municipality, as part of the system of work of the President of the National Assembly, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, concluded this Saturday in the Havana Capitol. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez and Salvador Valdes Mesa, President and First Vice-president of the Councils of State and Ministers, respectively, attended the meeting.

7 July, 2017 Economy Targeted by Cuban Deputies

The execution of the Plan of Economy in the first semester will focus the agenda of the Cuban deputies to the ninth regular session of the eighth legislature of the National Assembly of People´s Power, convened for next July 14.
