Rome, Italy.- The Organizing Comnmittee of the 4th stage of the 2018 Diamond League in Rome, Italy, said there will be a great Latin American and Caribbean presence at the competition.

The reduced delegation of Cuba is headed by female 2015 discus World Champion Denia Caballero and 2018 male World Champion in long jump, Juan Miguel Echeverria.

The group is completed with female discus thrower Yaime Perez and male long jumper Maykel Masso.

For Cabellero and Perez, this will be their second participation in the Diamond League after their incursion in Qatar, where they got silver and bronze medals to add 7 and 6 points respectively.

The present version of the important universal athletic event, will have 12 qualifying competitions to go forward to the grand final, which will have two dates in the European cities of Zurich and Brussels on August 30 and 31 this year.

In the case of Echevarría and Massó, junior world champion in Cali 2015, will be competing at that level for the first time.
