Belgrade, Servia.- Nikola Nikodijevic, chairman of the City Assembly of Belgrade, left for Cuba this Wednesday to participate in the activities to mark the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana.

The visit responds to the official invitation by Reinaldo Garcia Zapata, president of the Provincial Assembly of Havana, which was recently delivered by Cuban Ambassador to Serbia, Gustavo Trista del Todo.

During that meeting, the two sides assessed the good state of bilateral relations and highlighted the boost they will receive with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two capitals during Nikodijevic’s stay in Havana. The city chairman is accompanied by Nebojsa Jakovljevic, head of his cabinet.

Nikodijevic was born in Belgrade on September 26, 1981. He was elected to this responsibility in April 2014 and re-elected in May 2018.

He is a graduate of the University of Belgrade’s Law Faculty and is a leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia.
