HAVANA, Cuba.- With the presence of the first Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Salvador Valdes Mesa, the ceremony of graduation of more than 700 young South Africans trained as physicians In Cuba was developed in the Preparatory Faculty of Medical Sciences of Havana.

The event was attended by the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, and the head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee, Jose Ramon Balaguer Cabrera.

The South African Minister of the Presidency for Health thanked Cuba for the training of South African youth as physicians to support health in that nation.

The young doctors dedicated their graduation to the centenary of their national hero Nelson Mandela.
