SANTA CLARA, Cuba. – The events that triggered a fire on the fourth floor of the building occupied by the telephone plant of the city of Santa Clara this Monday noon, are investigated by experts to know the technological damage.

Gustavo Montesinos, Director General of ETECSA in Villa Clara, reported that the incident occurred in the place where the main cellular telephony platforms of Villa Clara, Cienfuegos and Sancti Spiritus are located, so it affected the mobile service in the Central provinces.

According to up-to-the-minute information, the telephone numbers beginning with 54, 55 and 56 are restored, but not those of the central territories of Cuba.

In the incident where there were no casualties and contingency measures for these cases were taken.
