HAVANA, Cuba. – In wielding the authority which it is conferred in article 81 (B) and (E) of the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, Juan Esteban Lazo Hernandez, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, calls the first ordinary session of Parliament.

The ninth legislature will meet from 09:00 on July 21 morning of the current year at the Convention Palace of Havana.

In addition, the permanent commissions of the Cuban Parliament will work on July 18, 19 and 20 in their habitual affairs and the study of the preliminary draft of the Constitution of the Republic.

The ninth legislature was constituted last April after ratifying Esteban Lazo as its President and electing Miguel Diaz-Canel as the new Cuban head of State, as well as Salvador Valdes Mesa as First Vice-President.
