Cuban Minister Ricardo Cabrisas touring the Fourth Business Fair.

The Vice-President of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas, defined the Fourth Business Fair that began today in Expocuba as a unique experience and space to advance in the process of conciliation and preparation of the 2018 Economy Plan.

In statements to the press the also Minister of Economy and Planning insisted that, in a current context marked by financial tensions, it is necessary to guarantee priorities and not to deviate from them.

On the Economic-Social development plan up to 2030, Cabrisas said it is a task that requiring everybody´s acting, so it is necessary to train all sectors.

The minister toured some pavilions of Expocuba, which in this edition of the Business Fair welcomes about 300 entities, 262 of them belong to the State, which represents an 87 percent.

Priorities Facing 2018

Rene Hernandez, vice-minister of Economy and Planning, pointed out that the elaboration of the 2018 Economy Plan has to be distinguished by the search for coherent and sustainable solutions, under the premise of solving and adjusting responsibly to the resources available.

At the opening of the Fourth Business Fair, Hernandez pointed out as priorities in this regard the support to productive levels and investments associated with exports, import substitution, development and infrastructure programs and tourism demands.

He also highlighted as key axes food production, construction materials and agricultural inputs, as well as ensuring internal financial balance and securing basic services to the population.

Expocuba will host the Fair until May 25, as a space for business and commercial exchange.
