African studfents of Medicine in Cuba.

Seventy South African physicians who studied in Cuba graduated this Friday at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, in a ceremony presided by the Vice ministers of Health, Joe Phaahla and Ileana Morales.

In his speech, South African Minister Phaahla underlined the importance of this study program allowing young South Africans to graduate from medicine, and remarked the duty of all graduates with their communities and rural areas.

Cuban Deputy Minister of Public Health urged graduates to follow the humanism of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, and practice their knowledge where they are most necessary, where the poor require their services.

In the ceremony, they were present academics from the university located in the city of Durban, including the acting rector of that institution and the Director General of the Department of Health.
