Havana, Cuba.-Cuba and other latitudes internet users were involved today in a big twitter connection in honor of the National Rebellion Day, which main ceremony was held this year in this city, in recognition of its economic and social achievements.

The label # Cuba, # SanctiSpiritusEn26, # SiempreEs26 and #FidelEntreNosotros, were at the top in social networks with messages of tribute to the 63 anniversary of the assault on the Moncada’s and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks, and the 90th birthday of historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Several cybernauts say that to Fidel Castro, author of the Moncada feat, is dedicated this central celebration for the July 26 # SanctiSpiritusEn26′ while another one of those messages stated: ‘If sovereignty depends on the blood of a youth, you can count on us’.

# Cuba # SiempreEs26 As good Sancti Spiritus roosters, got up early this morning # SanctiSpiritusEn26, reflected @ stormcaptain before beginning, at 7:00 local time, the cultural political act in celebration of the anniversary at the Revolution Square Major General Serafin Sanchez, in that city, with the presence of Cuban President, Raul Castro.

This commemoration remembers the date on which a group of young people, led by Fidel Castro attacked the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba, and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes in Bayamo, in order to convene the popular uprising.

Despite the military failure of those actions, the feat inspired shortly after three years later resumed the armed struggle to achieve definitive independence on January 1, 1959.

Sancti Spiritus, located 355 kilometers east of Havana, was chosen to host the event to show a sustained increase in its main economic and social indicators in the last few months, including the growth of its production and compliance with the sugar plan.
