SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- The first Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Salvador Valdes Mesa, began this Wednesday a tour by economic-interest centers of Santiago de Cuba province.

In DAMEX shipyards Valdes Mesa was interested in the fulfillment of the plan of supply of materials and the wages of workers. He also learned about the march of shipbuilding and repairs, which currently includes the Rio Jucaro ferry that serves the population of Batabano and Nueva Gerona.

He also visited Guillermo Moncada Port, where he verified the situation of its facilities and the march of the annual plan of goods and the attention to its workers.

During his stay in Santiago de Cuba, Salvador Valdes will tour the Santa Iphigenia Cemetery, Ponupo factory of ice cream and canned fruits and vegetables in La Maya and the construction of warehouses in San Luis.
