HAVANA, Cuba.-The Ozone Technical Office will celebrate tomorrow, in Havana, its central act for the World Day for the protection of this kind of umbrella, which preserves against harmful radiation of the sun.

The meeting will be at the Jose Marti Memorial, in the Revolution Square, where Doctor of Sciences Nelson Espinosa Pena, director of the Office, will expose Cuba´s progress and fulfillment of the Montreal Protocol.

Cuba is a signatory to the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the Montreal Protocol, related to the elimination of the production and consumption of harmful industrial chemicals to the environment.

In the ceremony the winners of the Protecting the Ozone Layer contest will be awarded, according to the program of the institution belonging to the Center for Information Management and Energy Development.
