HAVANA, Cuba. – Poland and Cuba strengthened this Monday their bonds of friendship and cooperation with the meeting of Chancellors Bruno Rodriguez and Witodl Waszczykowski, the late in an official visit in the island.

On this occasion, the Cuban Minister highlighted the historical ties between both nations, symbolized in the participation of Polish citizens like Carlos Roloff in the independence war of Cuba during the 19th century.

Rodriguez expressed the Cuban government´s will of deepening bilateral relations, which, he said, have a favorable march and with potential for its development in areas such as culture, education, sport, tourism, agriculture, food industry, pharmaceutical and construction.

The Cuban chancellor highlighted the relevance of his Polish counterpart´s visit to Cuba, which is also the first one of a high-level official of the European nation after more than thirty years.
