HAVANA, Cuba. – The Minister of Defense of Namibia, Penda Ya Ndakolo, paid tribute this Wednesday to independentist hero Antonio Maceo, in the context of the visit of work a military delegation of his country pays to Cuba.

After placing a floral offering in the Cacahual Mausoleum, the high official thanked Cuba for its contribution in the anti-colonial struggle and the effort for the development of Namibia.

Your heroes are our heroes, because Namibia´s independence was built thanks to the sacrifice of the children of both peoples, Ndakolo said and added the military chiefs composing his delegation fought alongside the Cubans.

In the Cacahual Mausoleum, the African visitor received an explanation on the circumstances of the fall in combat of Maceo, offered by Army Corps General Alvaro Lopez, Deputy first Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
