HAVANA, Cuba.- The Civil Defense National General Staff decreed this Friday the informative phase for the provinces of Pinar del Rio, Artemis, Mayabeque and Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality, before the advance of tropical storm Nate.

Information note No. 1 from the Civil Defense staff says that according to data from the Cuban National Forecasting Center, Nate was located at dawn this Friday about 360 kilometers south-east of Cozumel, Mexico, heading north north-west.

In the next 12 to 24 hours it will move with the same heading increasing the force of winds, heavy rains and possibility of causing coastal floods in the western region of Cuba.

According to the Civil Defense note, Havana province must remain attentive to the information of the Cuban National Forecasting Center.
