MATANZAS, Cuba. – The labor movement in Matanzas will evoke the legacy of Antonio Maceo and the Heroic Guerrilla with special morning meetings at the 46 workplaces visited by Ernesto Guevara in this province.

Oria Moliner Pavon, from the provincial direction of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC) explained that next Wednesday 14 they will call to a poetry and testimony contest on Che´s mark of in Matanzas.

Workers, retirees, trade union leaders and political cadres, can take part in the competition and the best work will be awarded at a symposium on Ernesto Che Guevara´s life and work, on October 8.

The CTC’s initiative is included in the activities for the anniversary 50 of the fall of Che in Bolivia with his guerrilla companions, and the 20 years of the arrival of his remains to Cuba.
