HAVANA, Cuba.-Roberto Morales Ojeda, Minister of Public Health, visited areas of the Health for All International Fair in Pabexpo, with the attendance of more than 190 national and foreign companies.

The also Vice-President of the Council of State noted the importance of the event for organizations and specialists to exchange research and technology, in order to optimize diagnoses, treatments and improve the quality of life of patients.

During the last day of the Health for All Fair, Yamilia Garriga, technical specialist of Italian CPM Company, highlighted the system of external validation of quality that is carried out in sixteen Cuban laboratories, for the effectiveness of those bodies.

Dr. Reinaldo Denis, head of the Cuban Society of Pathology launched the call for the Congress of Clinical Pathology, planned for 2019.

Quality in Clinical Laboratories: A debate in Health Fair

The use of good practices in clinical laboratories to achieve satisfactory results in tests was the subject of debate at the Health for All International Fair.

In Pabexpo, Cuban and foreign specialists presented experiences about the need for good internal control, so that it is efficient that some competent entities do in the field.

On Thursday, Master Liena Nunez from the Center for Drug Control highlighted the work of the institution in the certification of laboratories.

During the event it was announced the call for the Congress of Clinical Pathology, fixed for June 2019 at the Convention Palace of Havana.
