HAVANA, Cuba.- On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the creation of the Family Doctor-and-Nurse Program, President of Parliament Esteban Lazo sent a greeting to those professionals.

The President of the National Assembly expressed in his message his appreciation for the services they provide for the benefit of the quality of life of the population.

Lazo expressed his confidence that doctors and nurses will continue this program of deep social and human content for Cuba and the world, conceived and materialized by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz as foundation of the National Health System.

The model of the family doctor was born on January 4, 1984 responding to the idea of the historical leader of the Revolution to create a different professional who contributes to achieve better levels of health, and increase the satisfaction of the people.
