Havana, Cuba. – The President of Ecuador Rafael Correa placed a floral tribute to student leader Jose Antonio Echeverria, at the Technological University of Havana, to pay homage to that who continue to be a paradigm of the Cuban youth.

Among the activities of the day, the Ecuadorian President paid homage in the patrimonial Santa Iphigenia Cemetery to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and the Cuban national hero Jose Marti. He also received the status of Illustrious Son of the city of Santiago de Cuba.

This Friday, the distinguished visitor will hold official talks with Army General Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of Cuba.

Correa will also receive the Jose Marti Order and the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, an honorary doctorate, by the University of Havana.
