Cuban President highlighted the work of computer specialists in Cuba.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The country advances in the computerization process of the society, and for the success of this task is decisive the active participation of the Union of Computers Specialists of Cuba, Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez said when closing the First National Conference of the organization.

He pointed out that computerization, scientific research and innovation can and should be used as tools for solving problems.

On electronic government and citizen care, Diaz-Canel urged to determine the platforms to be developed to ensure the participation of society through digital scenarios in decision making.

At the closing of the First National Conference of the Union of Computers Specialists of Cuba, the President recognized the work in the management of knowledge, in which the organization play a leading position.

Developing National Applications

At the closing of the First National Conference of the Union of Computers Specialists of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez referred to the programs covering the process of computerization, like the digitalization of terrestrial television, and the extension of the services of access to Internet.

In so far as informatization of the country’s economic and social activity progresses, the Cuban President said, it becomes more important to ensure the cybersecurity of operations.

The Cuban President called to continue developing national computer applications and solutions, as well as to enhance the relationship with Governments in the territories, because the process of computerization should be woven from the local to the national.

As part of the final day of the National Conference of the Union of Computers Specialists of Cuba, entities such as DESOFT and TECNOMATICA were recognized.
