Diaz-Canel highlights achievements in child health and collaboration.

HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel highlighted this Friday several of the island’s achievements in the health sector, especially infant mortality rate.

Diaz-Canel also remarked on this day the 35th anniversary of the Cuba’s Family Doctor-and-Nurse Program through his Twitter account.

The Cuban President also regretted the global situation related to child care and compared it with the achievements in Cuba last year.

It is sad that around the world a million children do not meet their first day of life for preventable causes. Cuba with the best rate in Latin America and the Caribbean, the head of State wrote on his official account of Twitter.
