SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, visited this Wednesday Santiago de Cuba, the city containing a deep meaning for the Cuban Revolution, to take a tour of sites of social, historical and economic interest.

At the Armando Garcia Aspuru High School, located in the Popular Council of Chicharrones, the Cuban President talked with students about their aspirations and dissatisfactions.

Seated informally on the main staircase of the institution the students dialogued with the Cuban President of the country, who stood, asking a lot and joking with them, as a friend interested in the future of these teenagers.

Diaz-Canel then visited the Doctor Antonio Maria Beguez Cesar Children Hospital, where he learned about the functioning of the Hematology and Oncology rooms.

The People in Santiago Showed Their Affection to Diaz-Canel

One of the sites visited by Miguel Diaz-Canel in Santiago de Cuba, was the Oriente Pharmaceutical Laboratory Company, founded 45 years ago to produce and market medicines, natural products, nutraceuticals and medical equipment.

Pills, serum, concentrated hemodialysis solutions, plastered bandages, and oral rehydration salts are the production lines of this laboratory that produces products of recognized quality.

As he passed through the streets of Santiago de Cuba, Diaz-Canel received the affection of the people who went out to embrace him, and to ratify the commitment of that rebel territory with the continuity of the Revolution.

On his way to the town of El Cobre, as he traveled through November 30 neighborhood, the Cuban President came down from the car to greet a large group of students and residents of the community.
