HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, congratulated the Chinese people, their government, the Communist Party of China and its leaders on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.

On his Twitter account, the Cuban President highlights the date when the Chinese people celebrates the significant ephemeris under the guidance of the Communist Party of China and exhibits important economic and social achievements that enlarge that Asian nation and friend of Cuba.

On Tuesday the Chinese celebrated the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China with an imposing military parade, which showcased the latest technological advances of the People’s Army, aimed at defending the sovereignty and independence of the Asian country.

On the occasion of the ephemeris, the Chinese government awarded the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro, the Medal of Friendship, in recognition of his contribution in Chinese-Cuban relations.
