Havana, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel took to Twitter on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, today.

‘Cuba dawns in homage. Today the heir to the legacy of Marti is 93 years old, the undefeated leader who survived more than 600 assassination attempts and confronted 11 imperialist US administrations without making a simple concession,’ Diaz-Canel posted on his account @DiazCanelB.

In Cuba and other parts of the world, the 93rd anniversary of Fidel Castro’s birth is being commemorated through conferences, exhibitions and other activities that highlight his dignified stance and his efforts to prevent Cuba from returning to a past of humiliation and servility.
