HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel analyzed prioritized programs for the country’s socio-economic development in areas such as transport, agriculture and tourism, local media reported.

Accompanied by several cabinet ministers, Diaz-Canel evaluated major projects to improve cargo and passenger transport, the national television informed.

The report added the recovery of the railway system with the modernization of workshops and the increase of technical inspections of vehicles to avoid accidents are part of the plan in that sector.

Diaz-Canel also analyzed investments in tourism and foreign investment, strategic sectors for the development of Cuba and called to expand exportable lines and boost production in the food industry.
