HAVANA, Cuba.- With the ratification of the new Constitution of the Republic, Cuba enters a stage of legislative transformation to materialize the content of the text.

The Vice-President of the National Union of Jurists, Yamila Gonzalez, said that once the Magna Carta is in force, it is a matter of making it really effective, which is to develop and implement development laws.

Let´s remember that the Constitution is at the top of our legal system, that is why it is the supreme or fundamental law, because it rules the general principles, the values and the organization of the systems of the society, and from there it is necessary to create norms for developing its content, Gonzalez said.

The Vice-President of the National Union of Jurists put as example her specialty, Family Law, reflected in Chapter III of the Magna Carta ratified last Sunday for nearly seven million Cubans.
