MARIEL, Cuba.- Authorities of Cuba and Vietnam launched symbolically this Wednesday the construction of the first Industrial Park in Mariel Special Zone of Development.

Before the presence of Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes, Cuba’s Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Minister, Rodrigo Malmierca, and the Vietnamese Minister of Construction, accompanied by officials from both countries, gave the initial paddles to ground motion.

ViMariel S. A, a totally Vietnamese mixed-capital company, has the administrative concession of the land, where it must invest, build, administer and exploit the infrastructure of the new Industrial Park.

The goal is to attract companies with potentialities to meet first Cuba´s demand, and then to expand into Latin America and the rest of the world.
