CIEGO DE AVILA, Cuba. -The people of the province of Ciego de Avila reissue this Friday the passage of the Caravan of Freedom, 59 years after that event that ignited and consolidated the flame of freedom in Cuba.

In the provincial capital and the towns of Gaspar and Majagua, the commemorative events will be led by young people, who evoke Fidel´s victorious passage by the territory, are to be hosted in the morning.

This January 5, amid the popular hubbub and noise of trucks full of boys, a group of them will receive the card of militants of the Young Communist League of Cuba, Maikel Perez Valdes, first secretary of the organization, said.

Fighters of the revolution, members of the invading columns, students and workers of Ciego de Ávila will demonstrate this Friday their joy and optimism in the reissue of the Caravan of Freedom.
