Havana, Cuba.-The Foreign Minister of Australia, Julie Bishop, makes an official visit to Cuba today, the Foreign Ministry of the Caribbean nation informed.

According to a statement posted on the government’s website, Bishop’s activities include official talks with Cuban officials.

In March 2016 the Minister pointed out during an act in her country that Australia’s relations with the Caribbean nation were excellent and vowed to strengthen them.

Cooperation between the two nations made it possible to apply the ‘Yes I Can’ method of literacy in several Aboriginal communities in western New South Wales, Australia.

On the other hand, Australia’s tourism to Cuba grew by 79 percent in January 2016, despite the lack of a direct connections.
