HAVANA, Cuba.- The Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, received on Monday a delegation from the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus, chaired by Giorgos Loukaides, member of the Political Bureau and head of the Parliamentary group of this political formation.

In the exchange, the Cuban leader referred to the United States government’s hostile policy against Cuba, the full implementation of the Helms-Burton Act, and the latest measures of Trump’s government, aimed at limiting Americans’ visits to the island.

Loukaides ratified his rejection of the blockade, as well as the will of the leadership of his party to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and solidarity with Cuba.

Machado Ventura also exchanged with the visitor about the restoring offensive of neoliberalism that takes place in Latin America and the Caribbean.
