HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuba will continue to work for a more just, democratic, equitable international order, based on multilateralism, cooperation and international dialogue, the only way to solve the serious problems of humanity today, Cuban Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez said.

When receiving in Havana the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, the Minister of Foreign Relations emphasized her visit confirms the special links between the Island and that body, while ratifying Cuban support for the strengthening of the UN and its necessary reform.

Maria Fernanda Espinosa thanked for the welcome and hospitality, a reflection of Cuba’s commitment to the multilateral system and its always-constructive contribution.

The President of the UN General Assembly highlighted Cuba´s role in promoting peace agendas, as well as in the fulfillment of Agenda 2030 and the Objectives of Sustainable Development.
