HANOI, Vietnam. – When receiving this Tuesday outgoing Cuban Ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang sent a greeting to the Cuban people and invited his counterpart Raul Castro to visit the Indochinese nation.

The dignitary said the ties between the two countries are special and exemplary, and he praised the work done by the Cuban diplomat in his four years of mission.

Quang said the trust between both communist parties, States and peoples is reflected in a variety of ways, including the exchange of visits of the high-level leaders, and recalled he was the last president Fidel Castro received.

The President of Vietnam wished Cuba success in the process of updating its economic model, and reiterated the will of the Vietnamese authorities to support the island in all fields.
