Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel visits Venezuela, 2018.

CARACAS, Venezuela.- The President of the Cuban Councils of State and of Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, was received in the Miraflores Palace by his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro Moros, and during the ceremony both leaders reviewed the Parade Group of the Bolivarian National Army.

This is the first official visit of the Cuban President, after assuming as head of State and Government last April 19.

With this trip to Venezuela, full of symbolism to strengthen the bonds of friendship uniting both peoples and revolutions, Diaz-Canel also becomes the first president to visit Nicolas Maduro after his reelection as ruler of this South American nation last May 20.

During the official welcome ceremony, both Presidents greeted the members of the two delegations.

Next, Diaz-Canel and Maduro entered the Miraflores Palace, to hold official conversations, which are expected to discuss issues of the bilateral and regional agenda.
