WASHINGTON, USA.- The US government put Cubametales Cuban Company on its unilateral list of entities sanctioned for ties with Venezuela, due to the continued import of oil from the South American country, the Treasury Department announced.

As part of its persistent interference, Washington promotes different actions to remove Maduro from power, and since last January, it has recognized Juan Guaido, head of the Venezuelan National Assembly, a contempt parliament, and who self-proclaimed President-in-Office.

The U.S. Administration uses the issue of Cuba’s support for Venezuela to justify further measures against the island, which has reiterated its solidarity with the South American country.

By this measure, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury prohibits Cubametales from relating with Americans and blocks its potential assets in US territory.
