Washington, United States.- Democratic Congresswoman Barbara Lee on Tuesday reiterated her support for rapprochement between the United States and Cuba, and recalled that five years ago, the two countries announced the beginning of a process of normalization of relations.

‘#OTD in 2014, President Obama officially normalized relations with Cuba, reopening our countries to renewed relations. But Trump has thrown our progress in reverse, harming the Cuban and American people. We must ‘#KeepCubaOpen!’ the California lawmaker posted on Twitter.

Lee is one of the members of the US Congress that most favors bilateral rapprochement between the two nations.
