Trum proposed to arm teachers during a meeting with parents of the victims of school shootings.

WASHINGTON, the United States of America. – US President Donald Trump suggested that teachers should be trained in the use of firearms, to allow them to port guns within schools as a measure against attacks.

During a meeting in the White House with relatives of the victims of different shootings in that country, the President asked the attendants to answer if they agreed with the proposed measure, and there were more rejections than supports.

Despite this, the tycoon President has confident that he will have many supporters; one of them is the National Rifle Association, which held a gun fair a few days after the last shooting at a school.

Trump even proposes to send Marines to schools, another expression of his strange sense of logic that does not cease to surprise and arise indignation.

A Valid Lesson

If there is a place where shootings at school have been curbed, it is the UK. So it has transcended on the Internet thanks to this meme:

Almost 22 years ago, on March 13, 1996 at Dunblane Elementary School in Scotland, a man named Thomas Hamilton opened fire causing the death of 16 children and a teacher, and then committed suicide in the place.

Before that tragedy, laws had already been issued for gun control in England following the Hungerford massacre in 1987. They prohibited semi-automatic rifles, weapons that trigger explosive ammunition and others of rapid action.

That contrasts with the situation in the USA, where more than one and a half million young people can acquire these and other firearms without too many formalities and requirements.

The pressure generated by the massacre of Dunblane, besides the prohibition of purchasing and possessing pistols, excluded in the previous law, made that four years later more than one hundred and sixty two revolvers were seized by the British government through large-scale purchase programs.

Marco Rubio Repudiated in Arms Debate

U.S. Republican Senator Marco Rubio was booed during a gun control debate, broadcast and organized by CNN network last Wednesday night.

Attendees, among whom were relatives and friends of the victims of the tragic firefight at Parkland High School, rejected the congressman’s stance after they asked him if he would push a law to avoid massacres like that occurred last week.

Fred Guttenberg, father of one of the victims, challenged the politician and question his position on the use of arms by young people, to which the Florida congressman answered with evasive.

Another of the most height moments of the debate occurred when one of the students asked Rubio to say publicly that he would not accept a single donation from the Deutch National Rifle Association, to which Rubio never gave an exact answer.
