Diálogos sobre la paz en ColombiaMembers of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army, FARC-EP, and the National Liberation Army, arrived today in Havana to exchange on the peace process of the first guerrilla with the Colombian government.

The meeting seeks to contribute to the end of the armed conflicts held for more than fifty-two years in the South American nation.

The Colombian Government and the National Liberation Army will resume their official talks next May 16 in Quito, Ecuador, after being postponed by the meeting in Havana between the members of that guerrilla and the spokespersons of FARC-EP

Negotiations between the cabinet of President Juan Manuel Santos and the insurgent force began on February 7 with the purpose of ending the confrontation and achieving a similar outcome to that of FARC-EP.
