PRETORIA, South Africa.- South Africa considers as unfair, illegal and aimed at failure the upsurge in U.S. actions against Cuba, as they will be unable to achieve Washington’s long-held change of government in Cuba.

Lefika Chatti, executive of the Society of Friends of Cuba, said Donald Trump’s Administration took advantage of the problems in Venezuela to exert more pressure on the island and cause major difficulties for its economy.

The official stated these actions augmented with the implementation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act are illegal and interfere with the rights of other countries.

In her view, that step by the Trump Administration is part of a policy against minorities and the aggression it carries out against other countries in the South.
