Migration.

UNITED NATIONS, New York. – The UN General Assembly addresses this Wednesday in an informative session the Secretary-General´s report entitled To Make Migration Work for All, with details of the great human movements in the world.

The report includes steps to promote a safe and regular migration, as well as suggesting strategies to fight illegal movements, which put people’s lives at risk.

It also provides options for Member States to help migrants developing in economic and social life, and explores the challenges stemming from major displacement.

Another objective of the report is contributing to the adoption of an action-oriented Global Covenant to achieve a safe, orderly and regular migration. The process aimed at concretizing that global agreement is among the UN’s priorities in 2018.
