Lula da Silva can win elections in 2018.

BRASILIA, Brazil. – A new survey, the first one made by the Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics (IBOPE), confirmed this Sunday the favoritism of former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for the 2018 elections.

If the elections were held now the founder of the Workers’ Party (PT) would get in the first round an advantage of 20 percentage points on the second placed, Jair Bolsonaro, from the Christian Social party.

The candidates for the Party of the Brazilian Social Democracy, Governor of Sao Paulo Geraldo Alckmin and Joao Doria, mayor of the homonymous city, occupy the second position.

If forecasts were confirmed, Lula and Bolsonaro would move on to a second round for the Brazilian elections of 2018.
