MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay.- Uruguayans in solidarity with the Cuban people and Government expressed this Sunday their permanent support to the revolution in a vigil in front of the Embassy of Havana in Montevideo.

The member of the Coordinating Committee of Support to the Revolution, Ernesto Chapare, told Prensa Latina that this presence constituted an unavoidable and unconditional commitment with the Cuban revolutionary process, because it is a process of liberation of the people.

Regarding this Sunday’s election, Chapare pointed out this is the best response to Cuba´s enemies and to imperialism to show them what true democracy means, and where the people are free to choose who they want.

The member of the Coordinating Committee added that the elections are very important to demonstrate that in the face of the attacks Cuba receives from imperialism, there is a strong democracy, which the people also supports.
