LA PAZ, Bolivia. – President Evo Morales inaugurated in La Paz the potable water and sewage system for the benefit of almost ten thousand inhabitants of the municipalities of Huari, Huatajata and Chua Cocanim.

It is a joy to be accompanied by international authorities that made this project possible, the Bolivian President commented after touring the site.

Morales remarked that water is a human right and must be shared, and he also saluted the European Union´s cooperation to which he described as a non-conditional support.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Andean Community of Nations, Walker San Miguel, explained the project to use the waters of Titicaca Lake basin amounts to more than one million euros.
